The plan is to process 50 tons of municipal solid waste or 40 tons of biomass per day, producing syngas (CO and H₂) via a two-phase reaction involving carbonization and gasification. 2 )
Synthesis gas serves as an intermediate feedstock for producing green methanol, green ammonia, and green hydrogen. Once the project is fully operational, it will become the first domestic initiative to commercially produce green synthesis gas from municipal solid waste and biomass.

200-ton per day biomass processing project (biomass calorific value: 3,700 kcal/kg):
Each year, 60,000 tons of biomass can be processed, yielding 58,200 × 10⁴ Nm³ of green hydrogen, equivalent to 518 tons. If used to produce green methanol, it could yield 26,000 tons of green methanol; if used to produce green ammonia, it could yield 27,500 tons of green ammonia.
Taking the 200,000-ton-per-year green methanol project as an example, the total investment in the project is 580 million yuan. The unit price of green methanol is 4,800 yuan per ton (while Maersk’s shipping rates range from 5,600 to 6,000 yuan per ton). The cost of producing green methanol is 2,364 yuan per ton. With a daily production capacity of 600 tons, the daily revenue reaches 2.88 million yuan. After deducting costs—and without considering taxes, government subsidies, or bank loan interest rates for the time being—the daily profit amounts to 1.46 million yuan. Based on an annual operating period of 330 days, the annual revenue totals 950 million yuan, and the annual profit comes to 482 million yuan.
Excluding the construction period, the investment is expected to be recovered within one and a half years during the operational phase*.
