What are the characteristics of fluoride removal agents?
A defluorination agent is a chemical substance that can remove chlorides from water.
< Back to listA defluorination agent is a chemical substance that can remove chlorides from water. As the number of factories continues to grow and pollution problems become increasingly severe, defluorination products have gained widespread popularity among manufacturers. So, what are the key features of these products? Let’s take a look below.
1. It has a significant effect on the removal of heavy metal ions and suspended solids.
2. Compared to calcium salts, the removal process generates very little sludge, and the fluoride precipitate formed will not undergo reverse phase transformation.
3. This process demonstrates excellent treatment performance for low-concentration fluoride-containing wastewater. Under normal circumstances, after calcium salt-based fluoride removal, the fluoride concentration typically falls to around 20 mg/L, and it becomes quite difficult to reduce the fluoride level further. Currently, many standards require fluoride concentrations below 3 mg/L, and some even demand levels below 1 mg/L. By using a fluoride removal agent, the fluoride concentration can be reduced to below 1 mg/L.
4. The product contains no calcium and will not cause blockages in system pipelines or other components.
5. Fast reaction and low dosage required. The fluoride removal mixing reaction takes only about 20 minutes, and the treatment agent can be added during the process according to actual site conditions. The cost of chemical dosing is more economical compared to fluoride removal agents based on calcium salts or aluminum oxide ion-exchange adsorption.
6. The product contains no free aluminum ions, and the filtrate has no adverse effect on the biochemical system.
7. The equipment is simple to operate, and effects are immediately visible upon addition—no complex adjustments required.
The above is the main content regarding the characteristics of defluorination agents.
